|
| STOP, DROP, AND RETREAT! – IT’S TIME TO LET GO! |
|
Whether for a few hours, a day, or a week, the turn of
seasons is an essential time to slow down for some
sort of Retreat. Retreat literally means to withdraw
or step back. Taking this time helps you break the
cycle of habitual living and creates an environment
for us to regain perspective on our life - to revive
our energy, and reconnect to that which is most
important to us. We see, hear and feel more clearly
after a retreat. We can retreat any time really. For
an instant retreat at work, enjoy a slow walk around
the block and enjoy the sights, smells, movement of
your body, and air moving in and out of your lungs.
Or, take a whole day, stay home and turn off your cell
phone, computer and television. Spend time doing
yoga, soak in a warm bath, journal, play music, create
art, meditate, write a letter or cook. Eat a warm
nourishing meal by candlelight. If your budget allows,
get a way for a night and stay in an inspiring natural
environment like the beach, country, or mountains (but
I’ve even retreated to the hotel in the neighboring
town before!) And if you have the time to enjoy a
longer get a way retreat – come join me as I’d love to share the joy with you!

RELAXING INTO THE HEART OF WINTER
KRIPALU Lenox, MA
A weekend of deep relaxation and rejuvenation. Yoga, Restoratives, Deep Relaxation,
Meditation, Nature and so much more!
http://www.kripalu.org/presenter/V0002075/jillian_pransky
If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing. —Marc Chagall
Align
with nature and savor winter’s gifts as you slow down, let go, and
kindle your inner glow. Designed to boost your immune system, calm your
mind, and open your heart, Jillian Pransky’s nourishing retreat will
leave you completely renewed and connected to yourself and nature.
In
the cold months, the earth contracts, stops producing, and replenishes
its inner energy reserves. When winter thaws, this energy bursts forth,
allowing the earth to produce abundantly again. Like the earth, each of
us goes through cycles of contraction and expansion. In winter, we need
to slow down, turn inward, and learn to recharge instead of depleting
our reserves.
To help you
harmonize with this natural cycle, Jillian will artfully weave together
mindfulness and metta (loving-kindness meditation) with slow flow
vinyasa, restorative yoga, and deep relaxation. You will also be
inspired by serene outdoor walks and a ceremony to clarify your
intentions for the New Year. This weekend retreat will include many
practical techniques to take your yoga off the mat and into your life.
Note: Bring warm winter outdoor clothing for nature walks.

CENTERED IN THE HEART: A New Year’s Renewal Through Yoga, Meditation, and Nature.
KRIPALU Lenox, MA
Come settle in for 5 days of grounding, relaxing, rejuvenating, and emerge totally renewed! Slow Flow Vinyasa, Restoratives, Meditations, Nature Walks, Wholesome Food, Uplifting Practices and so much more.

Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart … Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens. —Carl Jung
For all levels.
For thousands of years, yoga has offered systematic ways to bring the body, mind, and spirit into harmony. As these energies align, we travel beyond our imagined limits to discover our innate capacity for happiness and wholeness.
Yogis believe that the seat of wisdom is actually in the heart center, not the head. When we are centered in the heart, we can use our minds more artfully to create our lives. Through the practice of yoga and meditation, and by aligning with nature, we grow more grounded and relaxed. The body revitalizes and the mind quiets, becoming more receptive. As we move into this state, compassion, intuition, and creativity flows more easily, and the heart blooms wide open. Our lives become a direct expression of our heart’s wisdom.
Jillian Pransky skillfully weaves together slow flow vinyasa yoga, restorative postures, deep relaxation, mindfulness, metta (compassion meditation), and mudita (joy meditation) to help us grow beyond habitual limited patterns of moving and thinking. She will also lead purification practices and a New Year’s intention-setting ceremony. As we center in the heart, our minds and bodies will naturally open to new possibilities.
